Our journey to Northern Greece was an unforgettable immersion into the world of wine!
We stayed at the brand-new Hydrama Hotel, a stunning transformation of a historic tobacco warehouse into a modern, wine-oriented retreat. With its cellar, atmospheric wine bar, and refined hospitality, it was the perfect base for our adventure.
Over three days, we visited all of Drama’s major wineries, each revealing the passion and craftsmanship of the region’s winemakers. A true highlight was tasting the signature white blend of Assyrtiko and Sauvignon Blanc — crisp, vibrant, and full of character, perfectly expressing Drama’s unique terroir. Alongside this emblematic blend, we enjoyed structured reds and elegant varietals that showed the region’s depth.
The experience didn’t stop there: we ventured to Biblia Chora in Pangeon, renowned for its bold, expressive wines, and to the iconic Ktima Gerovassiliou in Epanomi, where tradition meets innovation with unforgettable results.
Beyond the cellars and vineyards, we savored local cuisine, discovered charming landscapes, and felt the warmth of true Greek hospitality.
Drama — and its neighboring regions — proved to be more than just destinations. They are stories in a glass, memories in every sip.
